Barcelona Chair
Bauhaus classic
Barcelona - Single seater
Barcelona - Double seater
Description & Features
Famous for the paradigm 'Less is More', Bauhaus architect Mies Van Der Rohe designed a matching chair and ottoman for the German Pavilion at the Barcelona World Fair of 1929. The Pavilion itself was temporary, but the design of the chair endured: the Barcelona chair is one of the most recognisable furniture designs in the world.
Flat metal sections are interlaced and chrome plated to form the external square frame. Buttoned leather square stitched upholstery and leather straps complement the frame dimensions. The seat cushion utilses moulded polyurethane foam.
This is a quality but affordable replica based on Van Der Rohe’s original design. A popular choice for any reception area.
Available in full leather only as a single or double.
